Some times we get quite a bit of snow, it is beter to come as late in the season as possible because the bigger bears are usually later comeing out of hibernation

Archery season is typically warm and dry, Rifle season starts cooler, in the mid 40's and 50's, ending with possible snow and rain, still we are not typically very cold, low 30's to mid 40's.

Our archery report is posted on our website, these are reports written by our clients about their hunting experience here with us. We do equally as well in rifle with an average of 35-40% kill and a 70-75% shot opportunity, and we are talking actual shot taken, and not at 600 to 1000 yards.

Snow, rain, not bone cold. Ususally runs upper 20's to mid 30's. We don't get the blowing winds in this part of Montana.
Outfitter's Comments
The white tail rut is late in the Montana rifle season, late November. We do a combo elk and deer hunt, either species of deer. If you come this far, and the deer and elk usse the same terrain, it would be crazy not to have both tags and hunt for both

Mule deer rut in late October and early November. We do a combo hunt for elk and deer. We hunt both in the same terrain, so it seems reasonable to have tags for both species.

We conduct hunts in both Idaho and Montana. Now that Montana has changed it's licensing procedure, this gives us back up options so you don's lose out on your hunt entirely if you don't luck out in the draw. Idaho licenses go on sale Dec 1, 2010 for 2011. You can also purchase your tags seperately in Idaho.

Idaho has some pretty decent mulies in the panhandle. Although the hunting specifically for them is better in Montana, doing a combo deer and elk hunt in Idaho is great. In Idaho you can purchase the tags seperately, and you can use the deer tag for (1 only) a deer, a bear, or a mountain lion in the general rifle season.
