August can be hot with temperatures in the 90's with thunderstorms possible. Temperatures cool later in the fall and snow is likely in late October and November.
Outfitter's Comments
We use horses where ever possible to access camp and more remote areas within the units we guide. This is especially true in the roadless area of the Book Cliffs.
